A Middle Class Rebellion Against Progressives Is Gaining Steam
Updated: Oct 5, 2021
I just read an opinion article in Newsweek entitled, "A Middle Class Rebellion Against Progressives Is Gaining Steam", by Joel Kotkin. This article just re-enforces what most mainstream Democrats already know: Radical, leftwing, progressive activists, while very vocal, represent only a tiny fraction of the overall electorate. The reality is, the further the Democratic Party moves to the left, the less support we actually have among middle-class Americans, especially rural voters. As I have repeatedly stated, mainstream Democrats must publicly reject radical rhetoric, such as "Defund the Police", "Abolish ICE", and "Open Borders". If we reject these extreme positions, centralist Democratic candidates CAN win over the middle class and thus win state-wide elections in Texas.
